Workshops Objectives
Wilderness First Aid is designed to teach participants to deal with emergency situations involving life-threatening conditions in locations 60 minutes or further away from definitive care, or professional Emergency Medical Services. The course combines classroom-style lecture, skills practice, and role-playing to teach the response steps and treatment of injuries and illnesses in various medical and traumatic situations. Students will learn to prioritize care, treat injuries in the field and to create a plan which will encompass evacuating the patient to definitive care.
