Workshops Objectives
Communication ability is an absolutely essential function for any search team. Many SAR members become licensed ham radio operators so that they can have access to other frequencies and repeaters to convey information without obtaining a commercial license. Ham radio communications offers: many channels, cost effectiveness, robust availability of equipment and a direct link to emergency authorities that are ham radio equipped.
This two-day course will show you how to obtain a license, provide a free study guide and show you how to take free online practice exams to assist you with becoming confident to pass the test.
We will review every question you could be asked on the multiple choice exam, explain the entire process and even provide ARRL VEC team to administer the exam!
